The Importance of Silence

« Even if you are exposed to the hustle and bustle of life, you must understand the importance of remaining silent in your inner being. You can achieve this by making a habit of studying the thoughts and feelings that pass through you. Several times a day, think to stop for a moment and analyze what is happening inside you, and as soon as you notice the slightest agitation, the slightest discord, do your best to put it right. Otherwise, when you want to meditate and do some real spiritual work, you will not be able to; there will always be something jarring, some commotion stopping you, and gradually, in the face of the difficulties you encounter, you will give up practicing meditation, even though it is so beneficial.

Inner silence is such a difficult state to achieve! You should think all day about preparing the right conditions for it. The first condition is to nurture only harmonious thoughts and feelings. As soon as you feel yourself becoming impatient, irritable, there is no point looking elsewhere for excuses or explanations: you have allowed disharmony to infiltrate you. So, do something about it! »

Holding a True Image of Love

« Hold the image of a flowing spring in your soul with great care, so that you never allow the source of life to run dry in you. And to make the source of life flow you have to love. Of course, like most people you will say you do love. Yes, but what kind of love is it? Often it is the kind that makes you suffer. Someone who knows the true art of loving is constantly inspired – they live in poetry and beauty, because they have learned how to love all human creatures. But they love them at a slight distance; they know that if they go too close they will be disappointed, and as they do not want to be disappointed they keep a certain distance. Then they do not lose their inspiration, whether or not these creatures show kindness, generosity and loyalty.

So many men and women complain of having been deceived, wronged, by those they loved! But it is their own fault; they wanted to get too close, and obviously what they discovered wasn’t great: cellars full of mildew and spiders’ webs, swamps, brambles, thorns… They were bound to be disappointed. Do you want to continue to love people and find them wonderful? When you have to mix with them, try viewing them at a slight distance. »

Life Is In Perpetual Motion

« Life is in perpetual motion. Even if today we are only continuing with the same activities as the day before, no two days are identical. So many things can change from one day to the next! We always have to adapt – at work, with family, in society. If we are not ready, there are surprises, and you know what happens in a situation you weren’t expecting – you hesitate, become confused and agitated and make mistakes.

So, each day brings with it new problems to be solved. How will you manage to solve them if you haven’t sorted out what you experienced the previous day? The only way to be sure about the next day is if you strengthen the foundations of your psychic life today, and you will strengthen these by looking back over the day’s events and reflecting on how you lived them, so that you can learn lessons from them. It all depends on how able you are to organize your inner life. The organizing you do will be reflected in how you perceive things: when the following day comes, events will find you ready and determined. »

Man Is Created In The Image of God

« It is said that human beings were created in the image of God. So in essence they are pure spirit. Then why do they come to incarnate on earth? To explore matter – because that is how they will succeed in developing all the capacities of the brain, which are almost infinite. During this descent, their five senses, the intermediaries between spirit and matter, have become increasingly important, to the extent that human beings have now lost awareness of the world of the spirit, the divine world, from which they came. They have cut the link and no longer even feel its presence, which is a great impoverishment, even if they are not aware of it. Nevertheless, their contact with matter will remain an extraordinary acquisition for them.

It is part of Cosmic Intelligence’s plans to take human creatures to the state of perfection. So they must go through the opacity of matter, go through illness and death, until the day when, strengthened by these experiences, they return to the true life, to the light, to freedom, and that is when they will know their Creator fully. »

Divine Justice

« Each one of us has lessons to learn in our life, mistakes to put right. We cannot avoid this, and in one way or another we must ‘pay’: pay in order to learn and pay by correcting the mistakes we have made. This payment is part of the laws of karma; we have to accept it. Besides, even if we do not accept it, it makes no difference; we cannot avoid divine justice, nor can we circumvent it.

So do your best to understand how divine justice works, and trust it. It is as if all the mistakes you have made are going to be weighed in one pan of a pair of scales and all your good actions in the other. So, when the time comes to pay for the transgressions, everything good you have done will play a part in making the payment less onerous. This law is true in all spheres: the efforts you make to strengthen and purify yourself will always enable you to face your ordeals in more favourable conditions.

So let this be clear: on the one hand, you must know that you cannot escape divine justice, and on the other, you must always be aware that everything good you do is transformed into energy to help you overcome difficulties. »

Dropping Resistance

“There is no evil. Let us therefore stop the resistance to the particular discord or inharmony of human existence which now confronts us. These apparent discords will disappear as we are able to cease our resistance to them. We are able to do this only in proportion to our realization of the spiritual nature of the universe. Since this is true, it is evident that neither heaven nor earth can contain error of any nature, and therefore the unillumined human thought is seeing error in the very place where God shines through, discord where harmony is, hate where love abounds, and fear where confidence really is.

The work on which we have embarked is the realization that we are individual infinite spiritual consciousness embodying within ourselves all good. This is the song we will sing, the sermon we will preach, the lesson we will teach, and until realization comes, this is our theme, our motif. It is the silver cord of truth running through every message.”

What Is Okay?

People get used to being frustrated,
they get used to being mad, upset;
they say: “That’s life. Good times, bad times, it’s all okay.”
What is okay?
Me being lost?
Me ignoring my own nature?
Me being away from myself?
Me not recognizing myself?
That’s why every one of us needs so desperately to understand
that there can be no compromises,
that an effort needs to be made every single day to see,
to feel what we have been given from the heart,
from our very basic being.
