Twelfth Meditation - I Am God

I turn away from the world about me to the world of consciousness that lies within.

I shut out all memories of the past, create no images of the future. I concentrate on my being, on my awareness.  I slide deep into the very recesses of my soul to a place of utter repose.

Here I perceive fact in the making, am conscious of the one being from which all beings spring.  I know that this is immortal Self, this is God, this is me.
I am, I always was. I always will be.

All men, all things, all space and time and life are here in the depths of my soul. Smaller than small, greater than great meet and unite in me.

That which I thought I was, ego, I never was at all, for it was a changing thing, mirroring the seasons and the tides, a thing to be born and grow and die.  I am not a thing of time or circumstance. I am spirit, pure and eternal, birthless, deathless and changeless.

I am patient, for I am all time.
I am wise, for I contain the knowledge of all things.
I know not pain, for I see there is no beginning and no  end, and who suffers pain must see begining and end.
I am rich, for there is no limit to the abundance I may create from my very Self.
I am successful, for I need only think to achieve.
I love and am beloved, for all things are myself and I am all things.

I unite, I fuse, I become one with Universal Subconscious Mind. The mask of vanity and ego I shall never wear again. I perceive the magnificent Dweller at the centre of my consciousness, and I know Him to be my very self.

Time and space, shadow and substance,
what matter these ?
I am God.

Do Not Judge A Book By It Cover

Do not judge a book by its cover. You simply do not know what you will come to know about the one who stands in front of you. Instead, here's a lovely little gem that you can convey in spirit to the one you meet today:
You are the Gift I have been seeking all my life. You are the Present that lifts me away from the world of form into the world of formless embrace of eternity. You are the One I have been seeking, and now that I have found YOU, all things do shine. With Divine Love.

Enjoy the voice of this beautiful Soul ...

One-Pointedness

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”

Healing happens when you get out of the way

Let people go through what they have to go through in the present moment! They are tired and they want to rest. They are exhausted from the fight, from the  pretense  and the lies, from having to hold everything in and hold everything together and hold everything up, and great waves of energy are now being released throughout their body.

Stay present with them. Waves of sorrow, hopelessness, fear, shame and guilt are surging now. Let the energies rise up, let their whole body vibrate and shake and quake if it must, let them wail, scream, roar, laugh, cry, sh*t themselves if they have to. Offer them nothing but the greatest gift of all: your fearless presence. Stay with them through each breath, each motion, in every moment. Hold their hand, but don't try to fix them, change them, stop them experiencing what they are experiencing, or give them premature answers.

If you become uncomfortable, or feel like you want to rush in and 'heal' them, or 'save' them, or 'fix' them, or prevent them from feeling what they are feeling, or make everything 'okay' for them, own that - it's your need, your discomfort, your fear, not theirs. Do not treat them like a victim or an invalid. Do not confuse them with who you think they are. Honour the power that moves in them; validate their experience totally. Trust the unpredictable intelligence of healing, and know that their 'symptoms' may get worse before they get better; energy may become more intense before it dies down. What appears now as chaos and disintegration may in fact be necessary release and intelligent reorganisation of a blocked system.

Sometimes our hearts need to break wide open so we are able to hold more life, more powerful love. Let your warm presence remind your friend of their own warm presence, so stable, so fearless, so free, so deeply rooted, grounded, here. Know that who they truly are cannot be broken, not by even the most intense energies, and cannot be fixed, and life never makes mistakes even when life seems like a mistake.

Love is all that matters. The rain falls, stars explode in silence somewhere out in the vastness of space, and here on this tiny planet someone called Earth, sometimes we meet and hold each other.

Yes, we do live in habits, what shall we do?

As long as the mind is not sensitive, not alert and quick, it is not capable of living with the actuality of life, which is so fluid, so constantly undergoing change. Psychologically, inwardly, we refuse to follow the movement of life because our roots are deep in habit and tradition, in obedience to what has been told to us, in acceptance. And it seems to me that it is very important to understand this and to break away from it, for I do not see how man can continue to live without love. Without love we are destroying each other, we are living in fragments, one fragment in aggression with the other, one in revolt against the other; and habit, in any form, must inevitably breed fear. If I may suggest, please do not merely accept and say 'Yes, we do live in habits, what shall we do?', but rather, be aware of them, be conscious of them, be alive to the habits that one has; be aware not only of the physical habits, like smoking, eating meat, drinking, which are all habits, but also of the deep-rooted habits in the psyche, which accept, which believe, which hope and have despairs, agonies, sorrows. If we could together go into this problem of habit and also of fear and perhaps thereby come to the ending of sorrow, then there might be a possibility of a love that we have never known, a bliss that is beyond the touch of pleasure.

It's Safe To Let Your Light Shine!

Dear One,

At the very heart of you is the pure light of God. This light has the ability to change your thinking and change your outer world. It is a light which, like a flame when fanned, can fill every cell, every fiber of your being and transform you. Fanning this flame means giving the light within you a time of focused attention.

Your imagination holds the key to transforming your life. What you believe can be achieved. Even before you believe something is true, you can allow the possibility to be there and imagine it to be true. Wherever you focus your attention, your life-force energy will follow.

Practice:

Imagine the light within you shining brightly. Give yourself a moment to inhale deeply and as you exhale, imagine a golden light beam moving from the base of your spine into the earth. As you continue to breathe, feel this deep connection to the earth relax you and provide a strong base within you.

Now, bring your attention to your heart center, the energy field in the middle of your chest. Imagine there is a glowing flame of light burning there. As you breathe in, this flame grows larger and brighter. As you breathe out, the light from this flame begins to fill your body.

Continue to breathe and imagine this light expanding behind your shoulders and down your back, feel it filling every organ and every cell. This is the light of pure spirit, the healing love of God. This light fills you with the Divine presence and radiates from you in waves of love.

Now imagine this light shining from you and blessing your house, the area where you live and the planet. Imagine this loving light blessing all the people you meet today. It’s a good feeling to send light to others as well as to yourself. This light promotes healing energy in the world around you and in your own body. Peace begins within the heart of each person individually. God’s light, shining from the heart of each person on Earth, would bring peace to the planet and transform the world.

It’s safe to let your light shine. Maybe when you were a child, it did not feel safe to be who you really were inside — innocent, trusting and filled with the light of love. But the consciousness of the people in the world is beginning to change. Now people everywhere are turning to spirituality as the only place where they can find true peace and happiness. They are longing for more sweetness and love in their lives. So the Angels say, “fear not.”  When you shine your love light on the world, you will be a loving presence. You don’t have to say anything. Your energy alone will have a transforming effect.

The visualization of the flame of love in your heart shining out to the people of earth is very potent. No matter what is happening around you, keep this visualization moving through you. It takes a little practice, but will have a healing effect even if you can’t see it. Just your willingness to imagine it is enough to create a light shining from within you. This light is that which connects you and everyone around you to the infinite power of Divine Love.

The master Jesus suggested that your light should not be hidden under a bushel. Let your light shine forth to bless the world, every area in your life and bring true Divine Radiance of God into the awakening of new life we are all experiencing.

Remember your message from the Angels for today,

It’s safe to let your Light shine!

Deep Within

Each of us has deep within the knowledge of all things, and when we are ready to remember, the knowledge is there to be known.
Only when we surrender to our inner nature can we begin to hear the wisdom that comes from deep within.

A Deeper Prayer

No Affirmation

To make affirmations of abundance expresses lack.
To pray for strength confesses weakness.
To ask for healing is to be sick.
But simply to embrace what is
may be a deeper prayer….

I embrace ‘poverty,’
I expand into emptiness,
I don’t ask for ‘more.’
Is the universe not born from a boundless vacuum?
Not fearing the void, I ripple with wealth.

I confess that I am powerless
in utter surrender.
I abandon striving, and discover
pre-existent fullness,
the immoveable strength that is nearer
than the next breath…

I accept my dis-ease,
I welcome brokenness,
I hug this body.
In non-resistance, unity.
In unity, healing.

This very moment I refuse
to generate conflict
by changing the suchness
into the ‘should.’

I nestle into wholeness
and little things begin to happen
majestically…

All that greens with nectar,
all that buzzes with life,
emerges from
what Is…

The Real

The Earth is My Body,
Embrace it
For it will teach you of Me.
The world is your illusion.
It can teach you nothing,
For what is not real
Contains no knowledge of Me.

Yoga

« A spiritual teaching recommends we do exercises, and the reason for this is that they enable our entire being, right down to the very tiniest cells of our hands and feet, to resonate with the truths we accept intellectually. Understanding presupposes that we apply something, carry it through and embody it. Each truth we connect with we must bring down into ourselves, until it permeates our entire psychic being as well as our physical being. True understanding comes about not only via the cells of the brain but also via the cells of the heart, the stomach, the lungs, the liver and all our other organs. If the cells of all the other organs are not also mobilized in this work, it follows that the brain’s capacities are diminished as well. For our understanding to be complete, all the cells of the body must play their part. »

You Are Left Alone ...

If you are intelligent, if you have the capacity, if you have energy, then it is comparatively simple to study the problem. The perfect studying of the problem is the answer itself; the answer is not away from the problem. But to study, to find out the truth of the problem, you need energy, you need vitality, and that vitality and that energy is destroyed when you are following somebody, when you are following your guru, when you are following your political leader or an economic system. All your creative energy is gone in following something, in disciplining your mind to a particular pattern of action. When the leader fails, when the leader dies, when something happens, you are left alone.

Proof of Heaven

~ A story - a true story - can heal as much as medicine can.

~ Communicating with God is the most extraordinary experience imaginable, yet at the same time it's the most natural one of all, because God is present in us at all times.  Omniscient, omnipotent, personal - and loving us without conditions.  We are connected as One through our divine link with God.

~ My experience showed me that the death of the body and brain are not the end of consciousness, that human experience continues beyond the grave.  More important, it continues under the gaze of a God who loves and cares about each of us and about where the Universe itself and all the beings within it are ultimately going.

Mythic Imagination

Moyers: What happened to the mythic imagination as humans beings turned from the hunting of animals to the planting of seeds?

Campbell: There is a dramatic and total transformation, not just of the myths but of the psyche itself, I think. You see, an animal is a total entity, he is within a skin. When you kill that animal, he's dead – that's the end of him. There is no such think as a self-contained individual in the vegetal world. You cut a plant, and another sprout comes. Pruning is helpful to a plant. The whole thing is just a continuing inbeingness.

Another idea associated with the tropical forests is that out of rot comes life. I have seen wonderful redwood forests with great, huge stumps from enormous trees that were cut down decades ago. Out of them are coming these bright new little children who are part of the same plant. Also, if you cut off the limb of a plant, another one comes. Tear off the limb of an animal, and unless it is a certain kind of lizard, it doesn't grow again.

So in the forest and planting cultures, there is sense of death as not death somehow, that death is required for new life. And the individual isn't quite an individual, he is a branch of a plant. Jesus uses this image when he says, "I am the vine, and you are the branches."  That vineyard image is a totally different one from the separate animals. When you have a planting culture, there is a fostering of thee plant that is going to be eaten.

The Power of Myth

“People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life.
I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking.
I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our own innermost being and reality,
so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.”

~^~

“Sit in a room and read ... and read and read.... And read the right books by the right people. Your mind is brought onto that level, and you have a nice, mild, slow-burning rapture all the time.”

~^~

“I don't have to have faith, I have experience.”

“Computers are like Old Testament gods;
lots of rules and no mercy.”

You Are Multiplying The Conflict

Please observe your own state. Now, how do you observe yourself? Do you observe as a watcher looking at something apart from himself, which means that there is a division, a contradiction between the observer and the observed? Or do you observe without the observer? Please follow this, it is important. When we are looking into the enormously complex process of our own consciousness, whose very essence is conflict, we must understand what we mean by looking, observing. I am sure most of us observe as someone from the outside looking inward. You are aware of your conflicts, and you are watching them as a censor, as a judge, as an observer apart from the observed. That is what most of us do, and that prevents us from understanding this very complex thing called conflict - the enormous weight, the content, the varieties of it. When you observe as an outsider looking in, you actually create conflict, do you not? You are not understanding conflict but only increasing it. Being aware of conflict within himself, the observer says, ''I must change that; I do not like conflict, I like pleasure.'' So the observer always has this attitude of judging, censoring, and when you so observe, you are not understanding conflict; on the contrary, you are multiplying it. Have I made myself clear on that point?
