the reason for this is that they enable our entire being, right down to the
very tiniest cells of our hands and feet, to resonate with the truths we accept
intellectually. Understanding presupposes that we apply something, carry it
through and embody it. Each truth we connect with we must bring down into
ourselves, until it permeates our entire psychic being as well as our physical
being. True understanding comes about not only via the cells of the brain but
also via the cells of the heart, the stomach, the lungs, the liver and all our
other organs. If the cells of all the other organs are not also mobilized in
this work, it follows that the brain’s capacities are diminished as well. For
our understanding to be complete, all the cells of the body must play their
part. »
