The Longing

Deep within my soul is a longing.
Sometimes I feel the energy of it
trying to break free;
jumping out of my skin;
grabbing on to the closest passer-by
and shouting,
"do you feel it too?"

I know it's not just me.

When I look into your face,
your eyes
and the water that flows within them,
I see myself
looking back
as if I were inside.

I know then that you understand.
You get it.

We are here together to recognize the longing.
And to let it out.
Let it be.
Free it from its hold.
Follow it.
Allow it to bring us home,
where it will rest.
It will rest.
And then disappear.

Or maybe it becomes something else.

I say to myself,
"follow the longing.
Surely it knows the way."

To Be Alone

To be alone, which is not a philosophy of loneliness, is obviously to be in a state of revolution against the whole setup of society; not only this society, but the communist society, the fascist, every form of society as organized brutality, organized power. And that means an extraordinary perception of the effects of power. Sir, have you noticed those soldiers rehearsing? They are not human beings any more, they are machines, they are your sons and my sons, standing there in the sun. This is happening here, in America, in Russia, and everywhere; not only at the governmental level, but also at the monastic level, belonging to monasteries, to orders, to groups who employ astonishing power. And it is only the mind which does not belong that can be alone.

And aloneness is not something to be cultivated. You see this? When you see all this, you are out, and no governor or president is going to invite you to dinner. Out of that aloneness there is humility. It is this aloneness that knows love; not power. The ambitious man, religious or ordinary, will never know what love is. So, if one sees all this, then one has this quality of total living and therefore total action. This comes through self-knowledge.

Face The Fact and See What Happens

We have all had the experience of tremendous loneliness, where books, religion, everything is gone and we are tremendously, inwardly, lonely, empty. Most of us can't face that emptiness, that loneliness, and we run away from it. Dependence is one of the things we run to, depend on, because we can't stand being alone with ourselves. We must have the radio or books or talking, incessant chatter about this and that, about art and culture. So we come to that point when we know there is this extraordinary sense of self-isolation. We may have a very good job, work furiously, write books, but inwardly there is this tremendous vacuum. We want to fill that and dependence is one of the ways. We use dependence, amusement, church work, religions, drink, women, a dozen things to fill it up, cover it up. If we see that it is absolutely futile to try to cover it up, completely futile, not verbally, not with conviction and therefore agreement and determination, but if we see the total absurdity of it , then we are faced with a fact. It is not a question of how to be free from dependence; that's not a fact; that's only a reaction to a fact. Why don't I face the fact and see what happens? The problem now arises of the observer and the observed. The observer says, "I am empty; I don't like it" and runs away from it. The observer says, "I am different from the emptiness." But the observer is the emptiness; it is not emptiness seen by an observer. The observer is the observed. There is a tremendous revolution in thinking, in feeling, when that takes place.

Wake Up With The Sun Shining in Your Heart

« In the morning when you wake up, your mind may be fuddled, and it may be hard for you to reconnect with the creative, luminous powers of life. It depends a great deal on how you experienced the previous day, especially the hours just before bedtime.

Morning is linked to evening, evening to morning, and each of them must be prepared in advance. Just as, in the morning, you should be thinking about the coming evening, so in the evening you should be thinking about the following morning. At night it is very important, as you go to sleep, not to leave for the other world in any old state inwardly, for you are going to have to stand before the powers of heaven. So you must prepare for this journey in the contemplation and silence of your soul. And once you are in bed, if you experience any agitation, any anxiety, do not remain there. It takes great inner strength to be able to defend against this kind of disquiet when you are lying down; when you are standing it is easier to respond. So, get up, walk about for a while, slowly do a few movements, concentrate on light, and only go to bed again when you feel calm.  »

You Would Not Have The Desire Without The Means To Fulfill It.

The Gabriel Messages #52

Dear One,

All things in life are a part of the Higher Power. This includes the desires of your heart. You have within you all that it takes to fulfill these desires and create the life you want to have. Know that each time you feel a deep longing, the seed of fulfillment is inherent within it.

There is a re-awakening within you, showing you a potential for all that you desire. This re-awakening results from your connection to God and the remembrance of the Angels who are guiding you always. As you commune more and more with this energy, your life will begin to take on the magical qualities you desire.

It begins with letting go. When you know in your heart that all your needs will be abundantly met, you can release the part of you that wants acquisition. You will now be free to discover the true desires in your heart. True desires have qualities that are fulfilled when the desires have been manifested. If the desire is for money, there is a quality your heart seeks to have fulfilled — a sense of safety, an abundant lifestyle, or perhaps, simply freedom from worry.

Becoming aware of these qualities allows you to take action to gain these first, which will then allow the physical world to manifest in a form which is in your highest good. The first step after discovering the qualities you seek, is always to ask for what you want, making sure you clearly state the qualities you are seeking to have. The Angelic Dimensions stand ready to assist you in the process of gaining all you desire in your life. Clarity is key.

Practice

It is truly God's Plan to have all beings live in a state of abundant joy and freedom from fears, with peace, harmony and love in the world as well as within families. These qualities are not too much to ask for in your prayers because they are the natural state of balance in God's world. Your prayers you offer in order to attain them opens your mind and heart to fulfillment in your personal life.

It is also vital to be in the company of like-minded souls who believe that miracles are not only possible, they are also willing to have them manifest in their own lives. It is clear that in some situations in the world, only a miracle of divine proportions can create a solution. With enough people believing miracles are possible, there is no doubt that creative solutions, which are beyond the mind's ability to understand at this time, will occur.

Begin now to allow miracles to manifest in your world. Be the first one to ask for divine intervention, and to share your belief with others, so that all may live in a new level of conscious awareness and abundant joy.

Those desires in your heart are there to remind you that miracles happen, and God provides you the ways to have all the good you desire in your life. Know that you are blessed and profoundly loved. Call on the Divine Spirit and the Angels then allow the desires of your heart to be fulfilled.

Remember, you would not have the desire without the means to fulfill it.

Littleness Versus Magnitude

22 Be not content with littleness, but be sure you understand what littleness is and why you could never be content with it. Littleness is the offering you gave yourself. You offered this in place of magnitude, and you accepted it. Everything in this world is little because it is a world made out of littleness in the strange belief that littleness can content you. When you strive for anything in this world with the belief that it will bring you peace, you are belittling yourself and blinding yourself to glory. Littleness and glory are the choices open to your striving and your vigilance. You will always choose one at the expense of the other.

23 Yet what you do not realize each time you choose is that your choice is your evaluation of yourself. Choose littleness and you will not have peace, for you will have judged yourself unworthy of it. And whatever you offer as a substitute is much too poor a gift to satisfy you. It is essential that you accept the fact, and accept it gladly, that there is no form of littleness that can ever content you. You are free to try as many as you wish, but all you will be doing is to delay your homecoming. For you will be content only in magnitude, which is your home.

24 There is a deep responsibility you owe yourself, and one which you must learn to remember all the time. The lesson will seem hard at first, but you will learn to love it when you realize that it is true and constitutes a tribute to your power. You who have sought and found littleness, remember this: Every decision which you make stems from what you think you are and represents the value that you put upon yourself. Believe the little can content you, and by limiting yourself, you will not be satisfied. For your function is not little, and it is only by finding your function and fulfilling it that you can escape from littleness.

You Know the Psalm, I know the Shepherd.

PSALM 23 READING ~ A little story!

There once was a Shakespearean actor who was known everywhere for his one-man shows of readings and recitations from the classics. He would always end his performance with a reading of Psalm 23.

Each night, without exception, as the actor began his recitation "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want"... the crowd would listen attentively. And then, at the conclusion of the psalm, they would rise in thunderous applause in appreciation of the actor's incredible ability to bring the verse to life.

But one night, just before the actor was to offer his customary recital of Psalm 23, a young man from the audience spoke up. "Sir, do you mind if tonight I recite Psalm 23"?

The actor was quite taken aback by this unusual request, but he allowed the young man to come forward and stand front and center on the stage to recite the Psalm, knowing that the ability of this unskilled youth would be no match for his own talent.

With a soft voice, the young man began to recite the words of the Psalm. When he was finished, there was no applause. There was no standing ovation as on other nights. All that could be heard was the sound of weeping. The audience had been so moved by the young man's recitation that every eye was full of tears.

Amazed by what he had heard, the actor said to the youth, "I don't understand. I have been performing Psalm 23 for years. I have a lifetime of experience and training, but I have never been able to move an audience as you have tonight. Tell me, what is your secret?"

The young man quietly replied, "Well sir, you know the Psalm. I know the Shepherd."

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The Wisdom of The Heart

“What Truth is cannot be lost. It cannot be owned. It can only be. That is the most important thing you will discover. If you have to study and practice to become something you will have to spend a lot of energy to retain and maintain that understanding or that skill. Your Self is not like that. It is already perfectly in place from before the beginning of anything. It is here.”

And if men thwart you take no heed.
If men hate you have no care.

Healing with a Sense of Humor

“A sense of humor is the best indicator that you will recover;
it is often the best indicator that people will love you.
Sustain that and you have hope.”
